About Coastal Custom Homes

Dean Verschuur, owner of Coastal Custom Homes has been developing his carpentry skills since he was a teenager. He grew up In Costa Mesa on the family farm which started his interest in building and construction.


In his mid-twenties, Dean obtained his Journeyman in Carpentry designation and began his professional career in construction. In 2011 he moved to Sacramento, CA to work as a carpenter and was promoted to foreman and then site superintendent.


Costa Mesa was always the place he wanted to live and raise his family. He moved back to Costa Mesa in 2015 to pursue his passion of building custom homes, specializing in custom timber frame designs.


Design Services – Coastal Custom Homes offers professional design services with each custom home they build. Tiffany Verschuur, Dean’s wife is a valuable part of the team, providing professional design services for new custom homes or assisting with renovation and remodeling projects. She also brings with her five years of experience as a successful realtor and uses her expertise and knowledge to assist clients in designing their new homes to suit their lifestyles.
